Job description
Together with and under supervision of the breeder conduct all operational activities related to the breeding of watermelon varieties in China.

Job tasks:
Collect breeding material and germplasm.
收集育種資源.
Advise and discuss about field trial locations, contribute to management of trials, contacts with farm manager.
對(duì)試驗(yàn)地點(diǎn)提出建議,同農(nóng)場(chǎng)經(jīng)理溝通并參與試驗(yàn)管理.
Design and setup of breeding trials.
籌劃育種試驗(yàn).
Conduct together with the breeder the total watermelon breeding program, including selfings, crosses and selection of breeding lines.
同西瓜育種人一道開(kāi)展西瓜育種項(xiàng)目中的各項(xiàng)活動(dòng),包括自交、雜交和育種材料塞選。
Build up knowledge about breeding material in relation to the markets.
基于市場(chǎng)需求，確立相關(guān)育種資源的知識(shí)。
Collect and analyze breeding data from field trials.
從田間試驗(yàn)中搜集試驗(yàn)數(shù)據(jù)并加以分析。
Quality and purity control of parental lines and hybrids.
控制親本和雜交種的質(zhì)量和純度。

Qualifications:
Master or PhD degree in plant breeding.
具有植物育種專業(yè)碩士或博士學(xué)位。
At least 3 years experience in a similar position in the seed industry.

Knowledge and interest in plant pathology and horticultural science preferable.
具有植物病理或園藝科學(xué)知識(shí)者優(yōu)先。
Creative and dedicated to quality in all aspects of your work.

Able to collect and analyze breeding data with standard computer hard- and software.
